Workplace Giving
By setting up a regular donation through your employer’s payroll system, you will be helping women and children escape family violence and abuse every day of the year.
Workplace giving involves employees making regular donations from their pre-tax pay. It is a straightforward and efficient method to assist in preventing and eradicating family violence in Victoria.
Employers
Workplace Giving encourages staff engagement and allows employees to support causes they’re passionate about while reducing their taxable income. To maximize their impact, many organizations and businesses opt to match their employees' contributions.
Establishing a Workplace Giving program is straightforward and can be seamlessly integrated with standard payroll protocols. Additional information on the process is available from the Australian Taxation Office or use a specialist organisation such as Good2Give or Good Company.
Employees
Select the amount you wish to donate to Code Purple from your pre-tax salary each month. The donation will be deducted from your pre-tax earnings, lowering your taxable income and removing the need for receipt collection. Your total donation will be reflected in your PAYG payment summary.
To begin, consult with your payroll team regarding the available options. If your employer lacks a Workplace Giving program, suggest initiating one or consider making tax deductible monthly contributions directly to Code Purple through establishing regular donations.
